Buyer beware.

This bag will not hold up, and is not worth the price tag, no matter how great it looks. Additionally, Loungefly's customer service leaves something to be desired.

Here is the email I sent them a month ago. A month seems like a perfectly reasonable amount of time to give them to reply. They have not.

Hello,

My husband bought me one of your awesome Star Wars purses for Christmas, and I absolutely love it. I am emailing because there is some fading or wearing off of the print on the bag in one area. I noticed it about a month ago, took pictures and stopped using the bag. It seems as though the print should be more durable than to wear off after three or four months of careful use (I don't leave the house everyday, so it was only used two or three times a week). The stitching at the top is unraveling as well.

I am wondering if there is anything that can be done. I do not know what kind of warranty or product guarantee you offer on your bags, so any advice you have on how to proceed is appreciated.

Attached are pictures of the issues.

Thank you,

[my name]

Above are the pictures I attached. The stitching is unraveling. Could I fix it myself? Maybe, because I am crafty, but I absolutely should not need to do that with how gently I have used this bag. Even then, that would not restore the print. Yoda's face is worn off, the bottom the banner above Yoda is missing print, part of the Han and Leia heart and banner is worn off, and this entire storm trooper is badly faded with some of the color on the flowers missing. It's bad. Compare it to stock product pictures, or one of mine from the other side of the bag (which is fine).

It's night and day, right? I even took more pictures of the damage today. Like I said, I have not used the bag since I took the first set of pictures, so these show the same wear, and were taken in the same light and at the same time as the good looking ones above.

One side of the bag is bright and durable, and the other side is super faded. Like the print on the less-than-durable side was not applied properly, or was stored in the sun, or had a light rub with sand paper or something, or wasn't treated with a coating that the other side got, maybe. To be clear, I have done none of those things. I wore the bag out of the house a few times, and then put it safely away in a closet (no sun exposure, no sandpaper, no coating at all -not to one side and not the other or anything). Here is one of the bag folded over so that both sides are visible. Compare the Boba Fetts.

One is brighter than the other. Look at the storm troopers. The brighter ones are from the side that has not visibly worn. What the hell Loungefly? Why isn't the print quality the same on both sides of the bag? Do you have no quality control? It isn't as though I consistently wore one side out and the other against my body. The outward facing side was by chance every time I put on the bag. But even if I had been wearing the same side out every single time, it was about a dozen times. Not enough to account for the visible wear, or perhaps I should say defects. I have tried to find a way that this is my fault, but I can't, because it isn't on me. This is a problem with production, and Loungefly has yet to be accountable for their product, and it's failures. I cried tears of happiness and excitement when I got this bag, and now I am just overwhelmingly disappointed.

If any of this looks familiar, it's because I posted a review on Newegg, and Amazon for this product today (though they may not be visible yet).

As it stands right now, I cannot recommend ANY of their products. I will, however, update this blog post if there are any developments.

Take care out there, people, and may the force be with you.
